Madison, IN–September 16, 2025 –Hyperscalersare significantly expanding capital expenditure to keep pace with the rapid growth of cloud storage and AI adoption. This acceleration of data center buildouts has increased the demand for steel-fabricated products to support critical white space infrastructure. Nucor Data Systems has prepared for this growth by transitioning its tubular plant in Madison, Indianato focus solely on manufacturing cages and related products for data center builds. 

The newly retrofitted facility in Madisonprovides a strategic addition to Nucor Data Systems locations, providing good access to Nucor’s steel supply being only 25 miles away from Gallatin and within 100 miles of Brandenburg and Crawfordsville. Speed, supply, security and sustainability are key pillars of the data center industry, andNucor’s data focused teams and facilities are equipped to deliver the best solutions for these four key drivers.

Nucor acquired the former Century Tubes facility in 2018 and began supplying the automotive business with tubing. Many of the teammates have transitioned from Century Tubes to Nucor Tubular and now to Nucor Data Systems. The resilient Madison team has worked with teammates inSan Bernardino to learn how to create the company’s line of data center products. With the open-door policy of executive teammates, the Madison team is ready to meet the nation’s data center needs.

Nucor Data Systems workswith all major hyperscalers andcontinues to support them in meeting their increasing needs for data storage. Nucor Data Systems’ new Madison facility enables the company to provide data center products and installations anywhere in the country efficiently and on par with demand.

This additional facility enables Nucor Data Systems to complete projects around the country sustainably and efficiently. In combination with manufacturing in Southern California, this location will allow Nucor to more quickly service projects near the East coast and Central United States.
