Dometic Group’s brand (STO: DOM), Igloo Coolers, hosted a ribbon-cutting event yesterday for its new solar array installment. The ceremony took place at Igloo branded products’ manufacturing facility in Katy, Texas with its solar project partner, CLS Sustainable alongside more than fifty community members and leaders in attendance.

President of Segment Mobile Cooling at Dometic, Josh Militello states, “We are thrilled to celebrate this installation with CLS as we take a step towards more sustainable efforts. Directly through this project, we will lower carbon emissions, energy cost savings and build greater operational resilience.”
The new solar array installation has 7,782 solar panels that reduce grid dependency and strengthen energy security at the Katy site, which strengthens operational continuity to supply products to its global customers.

Over the next 25 years, the solar array’s impact will reduce CO₂ by 97,500 metric tons, comparable to approximately 975k acres of U.S. Forest absorbing carbon for a full year. This project focuses on Dometic’s sustainability goals, reduces reliance on fossil fuels and delivers long-term, predictable energy cost savings while demonstrating its clean energy leadership.
