Boarding for Breast Cancer’s Love Your Peaks Winter Prevention Series is Coming to California with Stops at Dodge Ridge and Bear Valley!
Jan. 23, 2025 (Sacramento, CA.) – Boarding for Breast Cancer’s (B4BC’s) 2025 Love Your Peaks Winter Prevention Series presented by LivOn Labs is coming to California! The series will be coming to Dodge Ridge on Saturday, February 1st and Bear Valley on Sunday, February 2nd for its third and fourth stops. B4BC will be raising breast cancer awareness at resorts from coast to coast, and the series will support B4BC’s education, prevention, and survivorship programs while spreading the organization’s mission of a healthy, active lifestyle + early detection as the best means of breast cancer prevention.
The festivities will kick off at Dodge Ridge at 9 am on Saturday, February 1st, with pink poker run registration and breast health education. Attendees will also be able to purchase B4BC merch and raffle tickets, entering them to win a selection of incredible items from B4BC’s Love Your Peaks partners as they get into the Love Your Peaks spirit with a set from DJ Tag. Registration includes a $25 donation (and a B4BC beanie!) that can be completed in person or online here, with the top three fundraisers awarded extra raffle tickets and partner prizes. The pink poker run is open to all ages and abilities, and participants will explore the resort while collecting a hand of cards. Participants with the three best poker hands will win a partner prize pack and can win up to $500 in cash, with $250 awarded for the best hand, $150 for the second-best hand, and $100 for the third-best hand, along with additional bonus prizes awarded to those in the best pink costumes. Following the Pink Poker Run, participants will set out on a Tribute Ride down Gentle Ben to honor those affected by breast cancer, with the day closing out with raffle drawings and awards.
After the festivities at Dodge Ridge, participants can keep the fun and fundraising going with a pre-party at Bear Valley Lodge on Saturday night. Attendees will enjoy live music, pink drink specials, and an 805 Tap Takeover with 20% of proceeds donated to B4BC.
Love Your Peaks continues with its third stop of the series at Bear Valley on Sunday, February 2nd. The activities kick off at 8 am with lift ticket specials, a pink terrain park, and breast health education. Participants can register for exciting raffles and Boobie Bingo, an interactive experience where attendees will pick up a bingo card with a $20 suggested donation per card and mark off squares at designated stops. The first 20 players to mark off three spaces in a row win, and the game will end with a live prize draw. Attendees can also support by shopping the pink rack at Reba Sports. The weekend will close with a live DJ set on the sundeck, a Tribute Ride at the Top of Porridge, and raffle drawings. Registration and event details for Bear Valley can be found here.
U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Famers and B4BC Co-Founders Tina Basich and Shannon Dunn-Downing will be joining in on the fun at both the Dodge Ridge and Bear Valley stops, offering participants an unforgettable opportunity to ride with two of the most iconic snowboarders in the industry.
The push for prevention doesn’t end there! Following Dodge Ridge and Bear Valley, B4BC will be bringing the Love Your Peaks Series to ten more resorts nationwide.
