March 14, 2024 (Lake Forest, CA) – It is a very rare and special thing for a pro skateboarder and a brand to share a journey spanning more than 25 years. Today, etnies revealed that after an incredible 27-year ride, Ryan Sheckler will be parting ways with the brand he joined at the young age of seven. Sheckler’s tenure with etnies has eclipsed the lifespan of many pro skate careers, and Pierre André, Don Brown and the rest of the etnies team are thankful for the long-term relationship with Ryan.

“As Ryan Sheckler embarks on his next chapter, we are so grateful for our long-standing relationship. We’re very proud to have been a part of his story, witnessing his incredible rise in skateboarding. His dedication, talent, and relentless pursuit of excellence have inspired us all,” said Pierré Andre Senizergues, etnies owner and CEO. “We are grateful for not only the journey we’ve shared, but for the belief and passion he’s invested into etnies. His legacy will remain forever transformative to us and our history. We wish him and his family continued success and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

During his time with etnies, Sheckler grew from a 7-year-old skateboarding prodigy into one of the most renowned pro skateboarders in the world. From dominating the streets to amassing an impressive collection of contest victories and video parts, Ryan’s skateboarding career has been unprecedented, and he’s not done. He turned pro in 2003, and when the etnies Sheckler Pro Model launched in 2006, Ryan was the youngest pro to design and receive a signature shoe. To date, he’s had a total of eight etnies signature shoes.

The video released when Ryan celebrated 15 years with etnies tells the story of his history with the first skateboarder-owned and operated footwear brand: etnies Presents: Ryan Sheckler’s Fifteen Years Strong
