April 18, 2023 (Seattle) – Today Coal is launching its spring/summer 2023 lineup of hats to keep adventurers around the world stylish and cool in the warmer seasons. With options ranging from low profile to roomy and full brims, Coal’s SS23 collection offers something for everyone. Each hat is crafted with the highest quality and made to support explorers as they continue to seek new heights.

The Coal SS23 collection material highlights include models with UPF 50+ sun protection, a floatable brim, moisture wicking and breathability. The color story ranges from bright poppy elephant purple and neon yellow to iridescent and muted natural tones. Below are highlighted styles from each of Coal’s fits:
ULTRA LOW FIT – THE DEEP RIVER $40
If shallow fit caps are the preferred option, look no further. This packable five panel camp hat is ultra low, with breezy, vented construction at the front panel with breathable mesh sides. It also features an elastic adjuster with a snap buckle closure for your perfect fit. With vivid and new rich colorway options (elephant purple, cucumber, charcoal), it keeps you looking funky and fresh for the summer.

LOW PROFILE FIT – THE PROVO $38 & THE PEAK $34
For those who like to keep a low profile, the Provo and the One Peak are the hats for them. These styles sit above the ear and are adjustable to one’s liking. Both styles have UPF 50+ materials and floatable EVA brims for those spending time on the water. The hats guard against moisture too; the One Peak is constructed with moisture-wicking polyester mesh sides and the Provo with a moisture-wicking sweatband. The iconic One Peak features a poly mesh fabric to create the back paneling that is a seamless tech called ‘one touch’, and that’s how the One Peak got its name! While wearing these hats, sweat won’t be getting in the way of your vibe this spring and summer. Both styles come in select new colorways (Provo: olive, black, neon orange, vintage denim, lavender, porcelain, pastel ice dye; One Peak: teal, yellow, light grey, black).
MID CROWN – JETTY $40
The Jetty is the perfect option for those who may plan on jetting off the beaten path for their next adventure. Coal’s mid crown hats are all about being in the middle – not too deep, not too shallow. It’s versatile, with the ability to sit looser up off your head or more snug, sitting at the ear if pulled down. Whatever you’re feeling that day, the mid crown fits can follow suit. The Jetty is designed with a floatable EVA brim and breathable mesh material, keeping it nice and airy. The Jetty comes in three select new colorways: iridescent, iced and black.
ROOMY – PONTOON $34
The Roomy fit silhouettes are accommodating and can be sized smaller or larger, whichever you prefer. The Pontoon is a five-panel style cap that has fabric at all panels and a floatable flat brim, so you can ride worry free. Feel the vintage vibes in six new colorways: iridescent, elephant purple, black, porcelain, dusty rose and vintage denim. Even cooler, the prints are different on each and every hat of this style, making it as unique as you are.
FULL BRIMS – STILLWATER $55
Coal’s fashion forward full brim styles provide 360-degree coverage, creating some shade for sunny days ahead. The Stillwater hat comes with a wide and floatable EVA brim as well as an adjustable chin cord to secure it in place. Fully packable and lightweight, Coal designed a lifeguard-style hat that you can pack away in your bag and not worry about it getting crushed.
